Board Member Requirements
All Reseda Neighborhood Council Board Members must be community stakeholders of Reseda, and qualify for the specific status of the seat they occupy. The individual must declare their stake in the neighborhood and affirm the factual basis for it. Reaffirmations of stakeholder status for board members take place twice a year.
All Board Members are expected to consistently attend the regular meetings of the Board, and are subject to removal for excessive absences (as defined by our Bylaws & Standing Rules).
All Board Members must serve on at least one (1) committee, with regular attendance.
All Board Members must complete the mandatory trainings and certification requirements, as outlined by the Department of Neighborhood Empowerment (DONE/EmpowerLA)* These requirements must be completed within thirty (30) days of election/appointment to the Board. *Youth Board Member (YM) is exempt from the Funding Training requirement, as long as they remain under the age of eighteen (18).
All Board Members must abide by and adhere to all Governing Documents applicable to the Reseda Neighborhood Council and its participants.
