Neighborhood Watch was originated to extend the reach of the Police Department. Since police officers cannot be everywhere and will not always be familiar with the residents,

their homes and their vehicles, neighbors who are more familiar with their surroundings can serve as extra sets of eyes and ears to watch out for the neighborhoods.

By joining your neighbors on the block to watch out for each other you can decrease the frequency of crime in your neighborhood. Neighbors meet and keep in touch with one another, post  Neighborhood Watch signs, and identify possible criminals.

In Reseda, we have two Senior Lead Officers (SLOs) that oversee the Neighborhood Watch:
